  1. I think that most of us were in time with each other but it sounded a bit like some of us were shouting so we could improve by not doing that. The chord structure was the 12-bar blues. The style of the beat is triplets. When a performer makes something up on the spot it's called improvisation.

    1. Target: use the keywords loud or soft dynamics when talking about volume/shouting.
Correct your rhythm (triplets) answer by reading other pupil's responses.

I thought the recording was good. It had a very good rhythm and the sounds fitted nicely together. I learnt that 3 completely different sounds can be put together to make a good beat. We could have improved by making it more melodic

  7. Overall I think we were pretty poor but with a few more attempts we would have been fine. If we rehearsed more and specifically worked on changing between numbers that was pretty much it.
I remember that making something up on the spot is called improvisation. I think that that the chord in blues music is called twelve bar blues but I may be wrong. I think the beat is repetitive and catchy but I don't know what it is actually called.-Sam Forbes

  8. We always kept to the correct beat and tempo. This was good because it meant the piece always sounded correct.

To improve, we could have been clearer when singing the numbers as, in certain parts, it sounded strange.

The chord structure is known as a 12-bar progression and the style of beat is a swing beat.

When a performer makes something up on the spot, it is called improvisation.
