  1. Things that sound the same:
Both of these pieces sound similar as they both have base guitars which produce the same types of sounds when different strings are pressed. They use these guitars to produce a sort of jazz sound, which creates a swing beat effect. This is popular because it appeals to lots of different audiences as it can be played differently depending on the mood you want to create. Another aspect that is similar is the signing. They both use a small amount of vocals at the beginning which helps tell the story/ background of the piece. The lyrics are important as they set the mood of the piece and create a story, however, in Blues music they don't often use many lyrics because they have instruments to do it for them.
    Things that are different:
The speed of the music is very different because in the first video: 'King Of Blues', the tempo is very calm, slow and relaxing. Creating a calm mood which effects the audience. The singing is gentle and slow, which adds to the mood. Meanwhile, the other was up-tempo and more driving, making the audience excited and captivated. Another thing is the use of instruments. Both pieces include drums, however, in the first piece, the drums are used on the backbeat to emphasise the slow, bluesy nature of the song. The drums are louder. Meanwhile, on the second piece, the drums are more submerged in the mix, and the bass guitar is louder, making the song more exciting.

  2. Two things that sound the same and two things that sound different.
2 things that sound the same are they both use a guitar to create effect also they both have a similar beat.2 things that sound different are the first one did not have much words however the second one did. Personally the second song was more dramatic and wild due to the tone of voices.

  3. I liked that they both have gentle but up beat tune and they played the same instruments. The first one had more instrumental parts but the second one had more singing. The first one sounded more like a battle but the second one sounded more together like a band and was more harmonised. By Matthew Piggott 8HN

  4. 1) they both have in common that they are using the same style of music . Allso the beat is the same.
    2) When they are improvising its different.

  5. In the first one it is mostly improvised and the other one was not, also the second one was slower than the first one. They used the same instruments in both of them and the beat was Mostly the same. they are different because they sound different this is because different people are playing the instruments and every one has there own unique way to play.

  6. They both used the guitar and they were both in the form of a blues music. The difference is one was dramatic and another difference would be is that they used different types of the 12 bar blues.

  7. Two things that sound the same are the singers are both trying very hard to get the right pitch and the instruments are the same with a steady rhythm with the guitar in the background. Two things that sound different are that the second one is faster paced and the first one is slower and the first one has more instruments and less singing however the second one has more singing and less instruments. They are different as the first one is slower paced and the second one is much faster.

  8. The things that are the same is that there is a clear beat of the guitar and that both artists are passionate about what they are playing. The differences are that there is different speeds of the beat also one is more up beat than the other. I think this because people will interpret the blues differently.

  9. I think that the pieces of music were similar because of the guitar riffs and that the drums were quite an important element in the piece. But they are different because the second one felt more like a performance because of the way they presented themselves (like in the first one the performers were charting and making jokes to each other while playing). And also the second one used more instruments to make the music more interesting.

  10. The two performances were similar because of the electric guitar and the beat of the song. The two performances were different because the second blue's performance had a faster phase. I think the two performances were different because the first performance was slower and less kind of rock than the second performance.

  11. both of these pieces of music are the blues. they are both quite old as well and slow. the first piece of music starts off with talking and then gets into the music but its quite slow. whereas the second piece is music singing music singing until it kicks off with all instruments and singing and is a bit more upbeat than the 1st one. the similarities between them is that they aren't very popular today and also they both have kind of the same beat and rhythm to it. both songs have solo guitar and talking singing in them. one other difference is the that one of them is a bit more faster singing.
i personally dont like this style of music.

  12. When I listen to the song< i found it was really catchy and got stuck in my head for a while, i only listen to one song each video because they were too long but i sure the other songs were great too! To be honest blues isnt really my type of music so it was really hard to find a word to describe it in a positive way.but over all it wasn't too bad

  14. Two things that sound the same:
    Same music genre
    they're not very loud.

    Two things that are different:
    They're different artists
    and use mostly different instruments.

i think they're different because they are two different pieces and they use different instruments however they still sound simular.

  15. What sound the same: Both songs use guitar as one of their main instrument with solos with the guitar. The also both use drums to keep the beat and seed of the song. What was different: The speed of the chores the amount of chords that were played were different. The 1st one was slower that the 2nd one. I think that the reasons they are different was because that the 1st one would have been sung in the field at on a normal day but the 2nd sony was more of a party song that lifts people up. Also the were different for different types of dance slow for the 1st one and quick for the 2nd one.

  16. The two videos sound the same because they both have a beat in the background which is continuous and they have another different beat that plays at the same time.
They sound different because in the first video there is no vocals in the first 5 min but in the second one there is. T he beat is also different.
They are different because they have a different pace in the beat.

  19. I think it was very good with the guitar solo in the first one. All of them were all relaxed and calm in front of a massive audience. I don't think that blues should be forgotten because it is what started music. If it wasn't for blues then pop music which we listen to today wouldn't be around.

  20. 1 Thing that sounds the same is the guitar that one of the people is playing in the top and bottom video, Another thing that sounds the same is the beat of the music.
1 Thing that sounds different is the bass guitar in the top video in the bottom video they play the harmonica but the top video doesn't. The bass guitar has got a heavier sound whereas the harmonica is high pitched.

  21. I think that in those videos beat of the guitar had basically the same rhym which helped the song carry on. I also thought that the singing was very much the same style and they both had low voices creating a good tone. What I thought was different with the videos was the guitars. The guitars on the first video were electronic however the guitars on the second video were acoustic which makes the videos sound very different. I also found that on the second video the rhym was quiet fast and strong however the rhym on the first video was quiet slow and soft sounding.i think these 2 things sound different because they change the way the song is sung and the instruments.
