Listen to your whole-class instrumental performance of the 12 Bar Blues and leave a comment on the blog post discussing the following THREE things:
- What instrument and part were you playing?
- What did you learn?
- What do you need to do next lesson to either perform your part better and/or to push yourself further?

1) I was playing the advanced guitar chords. I was playing the regular/ non-seventh chords and did not use the Blues Scale.
ReplyDelete2) I learnt how to pay the F chord properly and how to transition between the F chord and the other chords relatively quickly. I also figured out how to strum without a pick without hurting my thumb.
3) I need to speed up the transitions from F to C or vice versa. I also need to use my foot to help me keep in time with others and help me physically feel the rhythm. I need to make sure that I am only strumming the appropriate strings every time. I should also learn how to play the blues scale to the appropriate tempo.

ReplyDeleteI was playing Guitar
I learnt how to play a C F and a G on a guitar
I think i could have tried the harder sheet
I was playing the piano and I was playing the E and F cords. I learnt how to play the E F and G cords on the piano but I found it hard to switch between the three so I did two of them. To push my self I need to try and play all three cords when preforming. (This is my second try to publish my prep just so that I'm double sure that it's posted.)
ReplyDelete1. I played the drums
ReplyDelete2. I learnt how to play a swing beat on the drums
3. To make it better I need to play a more assured beat
I was playing the guitar and I learnt how to play the c, g, and f chords on the guitar. I also learnt how to hold a guitar and where and how to play the cords. I definitely need to improve on my transitions of the cords. When I play C and go into F my fingers are late to move to the next cord which makes it out of time. To improve on this, I can practise so I can get used to it and play it quicker.

ReplyDelete2. By playing it, I learn't the c,g and f cords and how to play/strum them.
3. To improve I need to move my fingers a tiny bit quicker to get them into the right place and strum the at the right time.
On Thursdays season I played the piano and played the c chord I did know all of the others but I felt more confidant on the c chord.Mr flowerer conducted the class a this helped me stay in time with the other instruments when we were recording. Next lesson I could play the other chords flowing each other.

I was playing the drums throughout the 12 bar blues, I learnt that i need to keep a steady pace so it is in time and to try and have a suitable drum beat so that it sounds good. I personally think to make my performance better I need to try and maintain the same volume throughout. To push myself further I think I can try and do a range of different drum beats to switch it up as I only did two different.

1.I played the ukulele.
ReplyDelete2.How to play the ukulele a bit better.
3.I need to try harder and listen more in order to perform better and push myself further.
1. Last lesson I was playing the drums.
ReplyDelete2. I learnt that when doing improvisation don't stick to the same limits do whatever you feel like but make sure it's in time and has a nice steady beat. Improvisation can also be quite funky and I learnt that it needs to lead nicely back into the same regular tune.
3.I didn't find improvisation too difficult because I quite enjoyed just going with the flow and improvising the drum beat.
4. Yes I feel like my skill did improve by the end of the lesson it was more fun to just feel free and create a new drum beat.
